There are a lot of preconceived notions of the Fashion District on King West, it is known to be very pretentious where everything is over the top. Don’t get me wrong, we all love a little bit of the good life, but we also need a spot to grab a bite or watch the game. Belfast Love has a spacious patio to enjoy Toronto’s hot summer, a chill vibe and a diverse menu.
I had lunch there the other day, right when I walked in I could sense that this was not like other restaurants on this street. You seat yourself inside or on the patio, there was no hostess at the front when we entered. There are pool tables and a few TVs, which would make this spot ideal for game night.
Since the weather was beautiful we sat on the patio, the service was prompt and the prices are fair for food and drinks. I was very pleased that they had no issues making changes to their dishes, where as other restaurants are fussy about it. We both ordered the summer greens salad (I added chicken to mine) and a side of punched fries. Punched fries are basically just fries made fresh punched out of their machine (cut into the french fries shape) with a delicious creamy dill sauce and ketchup.

Summer green $14.00 + chicken $6.00 & Punched Fries $7.00
