No plans for the long weekend Toronto? Well the best thing about this city is that there is always something going on! Here are some places you can go and grab a bite because what’s a long weekend without tasty food???
Head over to one of the Raptors playoff games this weekend and take part in all the hype. The ACC always has a great variety of food, but I want to point one vendor in particular that was favorite… MacChessy’s (doesn’t the name just make you want to drool?!) I recommend indulging in the classic grilled cheese while you watch the Raptors win, of course!
Why not spend the sunny day at the Rogers Center, enjoy a good old-fashioned game of baseball, with our beloved Blue Jays. Make sure to grab a nontraditional, but absolutely delicious order of chicken and waffles on a stick!
Ribs anyone? Don’t forget about the Ribfest and BBQ Bash taking place at Yonge and Dundas Square on Friday and Saturday! Every Torontonians favorite way to cook when it’s sunny and warm is to grill it up!
Or head over on Monday with a bunch of friends to Center Island for the Electric Island festival. Here you can enjoy some incredible music and food truck delicacies. Try a burger from Gourmet Bitches, some Jerk Chicken Mac and Cheese or mouthwatering Caplansky’s deli meat sandwiches. You also can see the fireworks from the island all while soaking in the sun!
