Top Ten Toronto Quick Eats

In a hurry? Want something delicious, reasonably priced, possibly to go or a quick meal? Well here is the official Views Of Toronto’s Top 10 Picks! So whether you want a taco or a salad this is the list for you!

1)Wilbur

FullSizeRender.jpg Who doesn’t love tacos? This place has quick service and a menu with a large variety of options. My favourites are the quac and chips (of course!), kale salad, bulgogi taco and the carne asada taco. The communal seating is perfect for large groups of friends or coworkers. This is my favourite lunch spot because the meals are not too heavy and ideal when in a hurry. Wilbur gets super busy during lunch and right after work, so if you want to have lunch there the ideal time would be before 12:00 pm or after after 2:00 pm.

Hours of Operation:
Monday to Saturday: 11:30am – 10:00pm
Sunday: Closed (Refining our craft)
CLOSED December 24 – January 3

2)IQ Food Co.

IMG_9508.JPG
The best thing about IQ is the amazing quality and freshness of the foods, not to mention the excellent combinations. They blend together great flavours along with healthy super foods. Guaranteed to leave you feeling satisfied and happy you made a healthy choice. My picks from the menu are Lima and Spicy Salmon.

3)Seven Lives

IMG_8369 Although this place offers hardly any seats, there is always a line outside and rightfully so. Their tacos are very filling and are a couple of the best tacos I have had in Toronto. I personally would say you only need two tacos from here to be full. Be prepared to get messy! The menu changes regularly, I would highly recommend the shrimp tacos.

4)Bha Mi Boys

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetThis Asian inspired subs, sandwiches, tacos and steamed buns is fitting for a quick bite. The tacos here are unique and unlike any tacos I have tried, namely because of the actual taco shell. I would recommend getting the grilled chicken taco. The braised beef cheek bao is also another delicious pick off the menu. One item is good if you aren’t very hungry, but to be full you would have to order two things.

5)Rose City

IMG_7307.JPG
This place offers Mediterranean cuisine with a twist. They are known for their pita sandwiches, poutine and boxed meals. Everything tastes very authentic and it’s easy to find what you like because of the variety of options. There aren’t very many seats at the restaurant, so it’s a great place to take away. I love their RCK Poutine and the RCK original box with falafels.

6)Flock

IMG_4315.JPG
I recently discovered this spot, it’s spacious, but very limited seating. You can either get a rotisserie chicken with a side or a salad. The salad is what I went with and really enjoyed. There are combinations which can be picked from or you can make your own. This is a great place for people who want to have a light, but satisfying lunch and are also health conscious. I try to keep my lunches and breakfasts on the healthier side, so that I can indulge during dinner! My salad pick is the Fancy Flock, the chicken is also very flavourful!

7)The Chickery

FullSizeRender3.jpg This place provides something for the person looking for a healthy option and for the person who just wants something fattening and fried, making it a great place to unite the two. You can get their buttermilk chicken fingers or a rotisserie chicken, the best of both worlds! My favourite is the pulled chicken sandwich with their shoestring fries.

9)Burger Priest

IMG_2524
A good old fashion burger from Burger Priests secret menu is a great quick bite. You can find burger priest around every corner! You can taste the quality of their beef. To unlock their secret menu you need to answer one question; I love the Holy smokes burger.

10)Blaze Pizza

FullSizeRender.jpg
Last but not least, Pizza! Pizza is one of Toronto’s favourite quick eats and blaze seems to be doing it just right. Build your own or pick between the signature options. They will craft it right infront of you and have it ready within minutes. The Green Stripe is my go-to.
